St. Demetrios Altar has finally been restored!!
The cracks in the walls were repaired and painted with fresh colors by Craig. Katerina Spilio, the iconographer and Randy her artist did a superb job on cleaning the icons, varnish, and did repairs where needed. She donated a beautiful design all across the bottom of the three walls along with a design on the inside arch. We are all so thankful for their long hours, maticulate work and efforts to get it done.
The "Humility of Christ" icon could not get saved or restored, so Katerina will paint a new icon and will come back late September to install. We are still accepting donations. For more information, please contact me.
A huge THANK YOU to all who have donated so far! May St. Demetrios and Platytera keep us all in good health and under Her care. God bless you and may God let us all to do His work. Amen!!
